Last 11 year's Statistics of Newborm Babys Sex Ratio at Seoul Seong Ae Hospital and Review of Future Problem

Abstract

|
Depend upon the hundred years of Korean tradition in preference of baby boy and accureate technique in differentiation of baby's sex during pregnancy secondary to up most developed sonogram machine and chorionic villus biopsy.
This paper was analysed in last 11 year's period in nulligravida and multigravida and multigravida and repeat cesarian section.
@ES The results were as follows.
@EN 1. The total sex ratio in last 11 years were 107:100 (male: female)
2. lst baby was 59.135%, 2nd baby was 38.41%, 3rd baby was 2.38%.
3. Ist baby's sex ratio was 103:100(male: female).
2nd baby's sex ratio was 111:100.
3rd baby's sex ratio was 148:100.
Repeat C/S sex ratio was 110:100.
Our results suggest that the unbalance of sex ratio in multigravida is extremely serious trend in this country and is expected a tremendous social problem in early 21th century.
